Thanks to everyone for their words of encouragement about the “Dimitri discipline” incident last week. It made me feel better to know that other folks would have been offended in that situation too. I ended up seeing one of the girls again this weekend, and she was as nice as could be. I don’t think they had any clue that they were being borderline-rude — they were just making conversation. Soon enough, when they have toddlers of their own, they will realize how misguided they once were. :)
