My Bodhi Tree
For New Year’s Eve, Booth and I went to Florida to see our Florida family. Although it was a quick trip, it was great to get away and see everyone. Booth’s grandparents have become like my own grandparents, and we always have fun together. Although we had 6 to 8 hours of travel on Friday and Sunday, we kept remarking on how much easier it was to fly without little Dimitri. God bless him, but it was nice to read our books in peace and just chill, instead of being on high alert!
But, of course, as soon as we got there, we started wishing we had brought him. Shawn’s son Aiden, who is 3, was there, and the cousins would have had so much fun playing together. We would have loved to take Dimitri for walks on the beach and have everyone spend time together. But considering how quick the trip was, it was probably for the best. D stayed home with his grandma and grandpa in Salt Lake, and they had fun.
Happy 2012! I hope the year is off to a good start. :)
