Exciting news …
I’m pregnant! About 12 weeks along. I have been sick as a dog. I thought I had morning sickness with Dimitri, but turns out it was a fairly mild case. This pregnancy, not so much. I have been sick 24 hours a day, and it’s even worse in the evenings. (With D, I usually felt better by early afternoon). Due to the heightened symptoms, I keep thinking it’s a girl. But, then again, I thought Dimitri was a girl, and I was 100% wrong. We’ll find out in a couple of months!
Though this pregnancy was a bit of a surprise, I’m getting really excited about it. One of our friends had a baby last week, and spending time with her has gotten me even more excited. They’re so tiny and precious and they sleep so much when they first come out! I’m excited about Dimitri having a sibling relatively close in age (a little over 2 years), and though I worry about having a toddler and a newborn when we’re so far away from family, I’m hoping our network here will support us, and that our parents will burn up the frequent flier miles to come visit us.
So hooray for unexpected blessings! And for Year of the Dragon babies!
